Reconnect to your sexuality - my favorite practice

Come back to a nourishing relationship with your yoni by listening to her and honoring her.

This is a seven-minute meditation (starting at 2:22) that will help you to reconnect to your yoni in a gentle way. I’ll teach you the “vulva hug” or genital hug, where you simply drape your hand over your pubic bone. I’ll guide you in a meditation where you’ll receive guidance from your sacral chakra.

Doing this mediation every day for a few days — try 7 or 21 — will reconnect you to sensation and the pleasure potential in your body faster than a new sex toy or a date night!

There are many reasons we might become disconnected from our sexuality.

We’re taught to fear our sexuality in our culture. We’re slut-shamed for our sexuality, and we’re given the message that it’s Pandora’s Box in there — who knows what might happen when we look inside? The truth is, perversions and darker desires come from the way our sexuality is repressed by society.

You may have also experienced a sexual trauma, or a recent change in your body or stress levels that has made you feel disconnected from your sexuality and pleasure.

The vulva hug meditation is a soft, simple way to begin to reconnect and feel your sexuality again.

We often think the way back in is through a fancy new sex toy or a new partner … but the truth is, honoring our bodies and being gentle with them helps repair anything that feels wounded, and empowers us to create a sexy, playful, fun, sovereign relationship with our sacral chakra, womb space, and yoni.
